When lifelong Washington resident Joquetta Ezell began her career as a recruiter earning minimum wage, she never imagined it would spark a lifelong passion for connecting people with opportunity. Through resilience and determination, she went on to earn multiple advanced degrees including an MBA and a Master’s in Human Resource Management, and built deep expertise in recruiting, payroll, employee relations, and HR compliance. Along the way, Joquetta staffed electricians, laborers, home care aides, administrative professionals, payroll specialists, accountants, construction workers, and security personnel. Her experiences in staffing agencies and security companies taught her that great staffing is not just about filling roles, it is about creating meaningful connections between businesses and job seekers. In 2023, she founded JQ Freedom Staffing. Backed by decades of combined recruiting experience, JQFS helps small and mid-sized businesses across Washington find reliable, diverse, and qualified talent, while offering job seekers free job readiness programs, community job fairs, and ongoing support to achieve their long-term goals.
