Rettenmaier Italia Srl & C. SAS 🇮🇹 is the Italian subsidiary of JRS GmbH & Co. KG, a leading German multinational manufacturer of natural fiber and cellulose raw materials for various industrial sectors. The JRS group has its roots in Swabia where it was founded in 1878 by the Rettenmaier family, the current owners, who started the company that is today a world leader. In fact, the basis of our raw materials comes from the heart of nature: wood from local forests harvested according to the ecological principles of sustainable forest management. From this, JRS derives wood fiber raw materials of different sizes, qualities and versions. Likewise, from wood comes the material that has become fundamental to our production, cellulose. Cellulose is processed into very fine powders, down to a nanometer size, or, more precisely, fibers, compressed materials, and blended materials. Materials derived from cereal and fruit plants, processed for various applications in the food industry, complete our production. Rettenmaier Italia 🇮🇹 markets JRS products made in 30 plants located around the world employing more than 3,000 people.
