• Jerusalem Transportation Master Plan Team (JTMT) has been shaping transportation in Jerusalem and the metro area since 1967, serving as a strategic arm of the Jerusalem Municipality, Israel’s Ministry of Transport (MOT), and Ministry of Finance (MOF). • As a one-stop shop for metropolitan transport, JTMT oversees the initiation, planning, construction, and operation of a world-class transportation network - including the LRT network, future metro lines, bus systems, transit hubs, bike lane networks, and public transit lines - while advancing transit-oriented development (TOD) to enhance mobility, connectivity, and quality of life across Jerusalem and its metropolitan area. • Jerusalem is Israel’s first region to operate a Light Rail Train (LRT) system, now evolving into the country’s first fully integrated LRT network.
