About Jungle City projects

Jungle City’s mission is to makes space for Every Body Every Day to participate in our innate human need to Move, Create and Connect with people and place through the power of dance as a cultural, educational, celebratory and personal development practice. Through both our in house curated programs and external collaborative projects we endeavor to create positive and meaningful connections between diverse communities, promoting the importance of historical and cultural knowledge and respect. We represent a team of highly skilled, culturally diverse dancers and arts practitioners who perform and teach with knowledge and respect for the roots and culture of the dance we practice, and with a purpose to uplift communities through the power of dance. Our team have years of experience in their respective dance forms, with some members originating from the places where the dance comes from, as well as those who are not genetically linked, but have trained over many years with the dance creators in the communities of origin. We deliver a weekly program of online and face to face dance classes in and around Melbourne, dance foundation courses, private lessons, workshops, performances, mentoring, and community outreach programs for people of all ages, and backgrounds. Our dancers are available individually or as a group for performances, education and entertainment bookings for private functions, school incursions and more.
