For more than a century, The Junior League has prepared women to lead… to challenge the status quo for the vital purpose of enhancing the social, cultural and political fabric of our civil society. Today, The Junior League of Martin County (JLMC) is spearheading several initiatives that will increase our impact. Our mission is simple. The Junior League of Martin County is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Our vision is to see women around the world as a catalyst for lasting community change. Members give back to the community by participating in important volunteer efforts, with more than 30 organizations benefitting from the Junior League’s assistance through time volunteered and financial support. Since 1992, we have made a tremendous impact on and investment in the community. Over the past 25+ years the League has positively impacted the local area focusing on community issues, at-risk children, the environment and nonprofit support. A few organizations we have had a major impact with are the Florida Oceanographic Society, Gertrude Walden Child Care Center, and PACE Center for Girls. We were also involved with the inception of the Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast – one of the go-to local museums for children & families.
