Outpouring from the hearts of a handful of artists and into the greater Boston area, *junkyard creates community spaces dedicated to the inherently rhythmic experience it is to be alive – and communities flourish best when nourished by the music of their people. So whether it be an empty lot, a backyard, a park, or even a hole in the wall, we find a safe, sustainable, and surprising way to host musical festivities in Boston. *junkyard plays a pivotal role in the unique lives of students in Boston, and our aim is to share our passion with as much of the Boston community as possible. At every event, *junkyard will enchant you with the present and leave you with a fuller heart. We’re a whimsical carnival with costume-clad MCs. We're that friend you can always count on for weekend plans. We're a house party that you could bring your mom to. We’re *junkyard. [ *j ] Although our name is fit for mountains of discarded artifacts, it stands for opportunity and inspiration to pile all of our ideas and aspirations into one collaborative creative entity. *junkyard is an organization hand-sewn together, using all of our hearts in everything we do. Each artifact, every person, believed in by one another, recognized for their individual strengths, standing together as a united whole. So yeah, we're a pile of ideas in motion, but so are you.
