About Just a Change

PT O Just a Change é uma IPSS que se dedica a reabilitar casas de pessoas em situação de pobreza habitacional. Mobilizamos voluntários para nos ajudarem a levar esperança e alegria transformando as casas em lugares dignos de serem vividos. Desde 2010 já reabilitámos mais de 500 casas e de 200 instituições sociais, impactando a vida de mais de 14000 beneficiários (em casas particulates e utentes de instituições) e mobilizando mais de 26000 voluntários nacionais e internacionais (independentes e corporativos), em mais de 33 municípios. Uma habitação digna é muitas vezes o ponto de partida para uma nova vida, por isso o Just a Change trabalha para devolver a dignidade habitacional aos mais necessitados. Reabilitamos casas, reconstruímos vidas! EN Just a Change is a non-profit association dedicated to rebuilding homes for those living in Housing Poverty. Renovating homes, Rebuilding Lives! Since 2010, Just a Change has already renovated more than 500 houses and 200 institutions, helping more than 14000 people (in houses and institutions) and mobilizing more than 26000 volunteers (independent and corporate). Lacking proper living conditions is one of the most devastating types of poverty as it affects all aspects of life: emotional, educational and professional development, increasing health risks and causing social seclusion. The targeted houses are usually poorly structured, lacking all basic conditions. Just a Change’s renovation work provides better quality of life, safety and better health. By involving the families that live in these houses on the renovation plan and work, the impact of the project is extended bringing people hope and self-realization. This project also impacts society: upgrading living conditions of the population is a way to reduce poverty and criminality and to improve Public Health and Energy Efficiency, but also by multiplying hope and happiness!
