About Just Another Label
Resonating Good Vibrations Since 1992 Iconic, Independent & innovative Just Another Label prides itself on being a home of infectious dance music. They were instrumental in the rise and popularity of genres such as Jungle, Drum & Bass and Happy Hardcore based in the UK. Incorporated in 1998, with its first release in 1992 with an Ivor Novello award under their belt they may be small but have a big reputation. By nurturing and guiding their artists, JAL provides great opportunities for talented musicians, producers, DJs, and creators to grow--. They always pride themselves in harbouring and recognising fresh talent starting from the grass-roots. With many different labels and producers under their arm, such as Stage1000 (winner of Ivor Novello award in 2003) and Just Another Publisher, they have used this experience to help individuals set up their labels and publishing companies. JAL has a reasonable back catalogue, which is being remastered on vinyl! Having been dormant on social media, a new album is on its way that is a perfect balance of old and new music... Keep an eye out for that! Whilst being dormant in the commercial world, JAL has continued to produce library music which they have done so for the past few three decades. Early in 2020, the team decided to launch their own music library. Thus the Dance Music Library (DML- a library-specific for dance music) was born, which has a keen focus on discovering and developing promising new grass-roots talent in dance and contemporary youth-oriented music. Keep an eye on this page for updates about that. In the meantime, Ola is the head guy over at JAL and dance music is his passion.
