WHY When we ask our customers, why they choose trees, they have lots of reasons. They are beautifying their environment, instantly ... creating a feature ... providing shade for children or animals ... even offsetting their carbon footprint. Most of the time, they are trying to get the best out of their landscape design. But the real reasons run much deeper than that. Planting and growing trees fulfills a primal need. Somewhere, deep inside, on the most essential level, we know that every tree planted is a legacy for the future. We know, without anyone telling us, that planting trees adds value to the world: they re-build natural and social capital in communities around the globe, provide living habitats for countless species, mine the minerals required for agriculture, and help retain biodiversity. We know, as a species, that, fundamentally, trees make a difference. And that’s why we do it. HOW WE DO IT Our mission is to grow such beautiful, strong, healthy trees that our customers are amazed at the quality and the value of their purchase ... every time. It’s a big job. And we have found that the best way to do this is to grow every single tree from scratch – from a seed or a cutting. We nurture these youngsters in an organic medium that promotes healthy root and tree growth. Then we space them well in containers for balanced all round growth. We water and feed them responsibly using increasingly sustainable methods.
