Jyoti - Fair Works is a German-Indian social enterprise empowering Indian women through the production of fair fashion. We offer our women a pleasant working environment, independence and education and are committed to fairness, transparency and humanity. Many companies have specialized on ecological and fair fashion. Jyoti - Fair Works is different. At Jyoti we do not primarily focus on the products, but on the people who have produced them. Thus we regard ourselves as a social enterprise empowering women through the production of fair fashion. We are committed to assisting socially disadvantaged women in India by enabling them to lead a self-determined life. In a first step, we offer them a training in sewing, a fair wage and a permanent and secure position in our company. Together we design products such as clothing and accessories out of recycled, ecologically, and equitably produced materials. The earnings enable the funding of literacy and education programs with emphasis on labor and women's rights, as well as the provision of health insurance. Together we develop individual projects that deal with finding future permanent and self-employment opportunities, where they can apply their newly acquired skills. The creation of this sustainable cycle enables us to reach out to even more women.
