Our motto is: A lifestyle gained is a lifestyle to be maintained through self-sufficiency. Jyra’s Angels, Inc. is a level one residential foster care facility and licensed through the North Carolina Department of Social Services. Jyra's Angels is a nonprofit organization purposed with fostering positive and healthy lifestyles for youth through a residential environment of support, mentoring and education. Established in Concord, North Carolina on November 30, 2009, Jyra's Angels is the result of our passion for creating a place of refuge and structured care for youth who are in need. Supporting the development of self-esteem, skills, and well-being, Jyra's Angels provides many disadvantaged youth with a thorough foundation for future success. Individual empowerment and self-determination are strong components of Jyra's Angels. The organization was conceived and organized to counteract disadvantage and neglected youth and promote lasting self-sufficiency. We surround the youth with positive social and community events along with helping out with community service events. We want to make sure that they understand that they also need to give back. We also believe that if you can change your mind, you can change your life. We want the youth to know that it’s not where you come from that determines your future, but what you do. Once they leave our care we want them to know that they are family and can come back to us for guidance and we will help them as much as possible. It is our hope that through our services, participants can regain the inner strength and independence required to re-enter their families, communities, or society as whole, healthy, thriving individuals.
