About K-A-V-K-A Art Books and Visual Culture

K-A-V-K-A Art Books and Visual Culture is a centre for art connoisseurs and lovers of beautiful books as well as art collectors. We organise presentations, books launches, book signings and exhibitions of visual art. We also run art books and artworks e-shop www.kavkabook.cz/en with worldwide delivery. Our bookshop is focused on the presentation and sale of art publications, books on design, architecture, photography and fine arts, exhibition catalogues, monographs, author’s books and special editions. K-A-V-K-A offers books published by Czech art publishers and cultural institutions as well as some foreign ones. We closely collaborate for example with National Gallery Prague, Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, Prague City Gallery, DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Moravian Gallery in Brno or Slovak National Gallery. This wide offer of publications is supplemented with various art pieces such as graphics, photographs, drawings and collages. Our collection is aimed mostly at works on paper in ideal connection to the books we sell. We cooperate on regular basis with many renowned Czech artists such as František Skála, Jindřich Zeithamml, Miloslav Moucha etc. We also strive to develop our own publishing activities based on our rich experience in the field. These include books of our original production as well as translations from other languages with special interest in works on aesthetics.
