K. Horton Specialty Foods, LLC is a small specialty foods retail shop, 10 and half years old, in the heart of Portland, within a developing public market. Focused on locally grown and produced products (Maine cheeses, smoked seafood, produce, maple syrup, honey, sauces and mustards), we offer 150 to 200 varieties of cheese from all over the world. We are known as the cheese shop. We also carry olives, meat pates, cured meats, smoked seafood, chocolates, veggies and fruit, oils and vinegars, nuts and dried fruit. We make tortilla wraps, baked daily (Brooklyn NY) bagels, banana bread, cold pasta and potato salads, 9cheese Mac for take home, crostini, gift baskets and party platters. We have monthly wine and cheese tasting in conjunction with Maine Beer & Beverage Co. We are in the process of developing web sales with pay pal and a shopping cart, catering with our party platters and brown bag lunch program and delivery service. We have a food prep license and full access to the in house Community kitchen for stove and oven use.
