K3 Advisory is the pension market’s only specialist independent bulk annuity and consolidator advisory business. Using first-hand experience from both the insurance and pensions sectors, K3 provides trustees and schemes sponsors with advice and brokering services to secure a smooth and effective transfer of liabilities to an insurer or consolidation vehicle. The business was founded and formed by Adam Davis in 2018 with the aim of improving the accuracy and management of the bulk annuity and consolidation markets for the benefit of all involved. As well as working directly with companies and their schemes, K3’s service will allow consultancies across the industry to enhance their credentials and services in the buyout field. K3 works with schemes to: • Identify the steps they need to take to get themselves ready to move to buyout or consolidation • Provide advice on the impact that improving data, records and funding has on pricing and ease of transfer • Give a unique insight into insurer pricing models and how to make the scheme more appealing to insurers • Provide analysis on the accuracy of the scheme’s solvency estimate compared to the insurance model • Identify optimal timings and processes for undertaking the buyout at the most cost-effective opportunity • Manage the process through market quotations, decision making and processing the transfer of liabilities through to conclusion
