STRONG ROOTS Just before the 2020 pandemic my grandfather developed an immuno-compromised condition, which brought caring about ourselves through our diet and lifestyle into perspective. We decided to bring out an old family recipe. What initially started as a way of boosting immunity ended up also easing my digestive symptoms. As I read further about the link between digestion and immunity, I had a realisation that I could use Ayurveda* to help myself – and if it helps me it could help others too! *Literally translated as ‘life science/knowledge or The Science of Life’ from Sanskrit – using nature to heal and maintain balance within you. LOOKING WITHIN I truly believe that what you eat is reflected externally and has an effect on all areas of life and so I started experimenting with my own recipes. This doesn’t mean that I’ll be giving up my doughnuts, but balance is key! RESOLVE As an Indian, our diets (and lives in general) are deeply entangled with Ayurvedic knowledge and ingredients, but this is not attainable for everyone to include in their meals every day. Especially since most people tend to compromise their wellbeing as their lives are so busy. I wanted to create a form of accessible Ayurveda so you too can protect and support your loved ones.
