About Kaftan Collective

Kaftan Collective is committed to catalyzing courage for those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or Bodies of Culture, from all around the world, for dialogue, healing, and wellness. Our services include individual and family therapy as well as a support group, Generation One, for Black mothers. This carefully crafted 12-week parenting workshop is specially catered to the matriarch of the family and supports her with not only her journey in motherhood but her own trauma that haunts so many Black women. With compassion, transformative resources, and powerful practices, Kaftan Collective is invested in helping clients identify and remove roadblocks, redefine purpose, and turn visions into reality. They work diligently to equip individuals to undergo a process of discovery that leads them to be the best versions of themselves. In addition to uplifting our communities in their mental health journeys and strengthening the lives of families, individuals, and partners, the practitioners at the Kaftan Collective align their work to assist other mental health clinicians. In all forms of career, leadership, and business, the pace of change has accelerated exponentially over the past generation. Now more than ever, people from all backgrounds must discover new ways to navigate the ever-changing marketplace and adjust accordingly to be successful and thrive in multiple areas of their lives. Kaftan Collective understands the pressures and various emotional contributions it takes to be in the mental health field. Especially for the Black and Indigenous communities, the importance of creating a psychologically safe space can take a toll. By empowering mental health clinicians with reflective consultation and other services, it opens the opportunity to expand on healing in all directions.
