About Kährs - Americas
Experience is the best innovator. With more than 160 years in the business, Kährs is one of the oldest manufacturers of wood floors in the world. It is also one of the most innovative, with a flooring portfolio ranging from hardwood to LVT to resilient, for applications ranging from small residential homes to large apartment buildings, and, thanks to our Kährs Upofloor products, high traffic commercial spaces with strict health and safety requirements. Kährs is still based in the town of Nybro, deep in the heart of a Swedish forest, where our company was born in 1857. The flooring knowledge we have accumulated over the years has been passed down from generation to generation. Since the beginning, we've approached everything we do with a commitment to sustainability, from our replanting strategy to our water treatment to our use of wood waste to heat the surrounding town of Nybro. We are constantly discussing new ideas how to improve our floors. At work, we are trying, testing and eventually succeeding. But the goal is always the same: how to find ways to make our floors even better looking, stronger, easier to install and more sustainable. We're proud that people all over the world appreciate the result. Today, our floors can be found in homes, offices, shops, hotels, concert halls, theaters and sports arenas from Europe and Asia to the Americas.
