About Kaipara Basketball Association
WHO WE ARE: Kaipara Basketball Association is run by local volunteers as a registered non-profit organisation under the Charities Act 2005. WHAT WE DO: Our aim is to benefit the community by encouraging young people to get involved in basketball by teaching and developing the skills required to play the game. Basketball has helped to teach leadership, teamwork, commitment and respect to young people in our local community. In addition to teaching these skills, basketball has provided an outlet to many, providing a social activity within a safe and fun environment. By running school holiday basketball camps and local basketball leagues, we hope to raise funds to invest in additional equipment for the growing number of young people looking to get involved in basketball.
