Kalex Films Ltd was established in 2019 to enable the Leeways Group to become fully integrated with the manufacture and supply of RPET rigid films to further secure a commitment to sustainability and a closed loop. Located in close proximity to both of our existing thermoforming plants, this state of the art facility is one of the first in the UK with super cleaning technology providing both FDA and EFSA compliance for direct food contact. With the ability to process pure flake, and manufacture from up to 100% post-consumer waste, this offers customers a highly sustainable packaging solutions which remains 100% recyclable. Hot washed post-consumer bottle flake is colour sorted and purified further, before entering the extrusion line. The line can be calibrated to meet our clients exacting needs which will be delivered as RPET roll stock.
