At Kallege we are deeply committed to creating and sustaining culturally responsive, academically rigorous, and inclusive yet competitive college-going culture for all students regardless of their life circumstances. The work that we do celebrates and acknowledges student’s academic achievement while promoting, contextualizing, and giving students the tools necessary to share the pursuit of their passions and extracurricular activities in a multifaceted way. We do not just strive to make a connection with each individual student, but we are committed to getting to know every student in and out; understanding their strengths, what makes them unique, and what makes them special. We foster students and teach them how to convey these qualities to others so that we can show the world what makes them great. We get to know students and families through exploring all of the different opportunities that exist for them post-secondary life through: nmeeting with student’s as needed on a one-on-one basis; evaluating transcripts; contextualizing school profiles; analyzing progress reports; digesting curriculum guides; watching performances/sporting events; reading their essays and so much more! At Kallege we believe in providing personal and individualized guidance through the college admission process, regardless of whether the student is in the 9th grade or 12th grade. We help students develop and understand themselves as humans, academics, global citizens, and ethical leaders so that they can truly have a sense of self and a sense of place so that they can share their gifts with others. In partnership, we seek to create realistic goals and robust college lists, as well as give the student the tools necessary to take advantage of every opportunity that the school community and resources offer.
