About Kamimura &

Kamimura & Co. is a Japan-based multidisciplinary design studio focusing on visual identity. Our mission is to shape a new culture today with our clients who value the power of design. Originally, in 2011, creative director Makoto Kamimura founded his own design studio then, in 2018, the studio was incorporated as Kamimura & Co, Inc. ——What is really essential? This question is always behind us. We see the answer to this question as a “design”, so we do research, planning, prototyping, and visual production in an integrated manner. It is also important for us to recognize the current issues and construct good questions, as the needs change with the times in our society. Visual design is almost in every aspect of communication, from screens to landscapes — we believe that they are necessary for most of us and they are not something special only for a part of people. Likewise, we are convinced that life with intelligence and culture is not a privilege for some people, but they are inherently essential for everyone. Through the process of design, we are aiming to make a creative ecosystem and to contribute to a cultured society. With these principles, we are conducting our design work every day.
