About Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium
The Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium offers three events per year designed to help estate planning practitioners at every career level enhance their knowledge and skills. Offerings include: - Fundamentals of Estate Planning - a one day basics course for those relatively new to the field or those who could use a refresher course. The event is typically held in late October. (Coming October 30, 2025) - Intermediate Estate Planning – an in-depth look at subjects of importance to every estate planner. Typically held in late January each year. - The Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium - a concise, two-day event featuring leading national speakers and the opportunity to earn up to a year's worth of continuing education credits. Typically held in late April each year. (The 45th Annual Symposium is scheduled for April 23 and 24, 2026) All events offer in-person and virtual attendance options. OUR MISSION - To provide a symposium and educational resources for the estate planner, wealth manager, trust officer and business advisor on legal, tax, insurance, planning and practice issues, utilizing national speakers and resources. - To provide opportunities for networking and access to services for estate planning practitioners. - To encourage the development of students in the estate planning profession through mentorship, educational opportunities and writing competitions.
