Kansas City Testing & Engineering, LLC (KCTE) was founded in October, 2009 as a woman-owned engineering consulting firm located in Kansas City, Kansas. KCTE is proud to be certified as a DBE and WBE business by the City of Kansas City, MO, KDOT, MoDOT, and Iowa DOT. KCTE is proud to have brought back the historical name of Kansas City Testing to the local area. The history of our office dates to 1894 when it was founded as Kansas City Testing Laboratory. KCTE offers Construction Materials Engineering and Testing, Geotechnical Engineering, Drilling and Environmental Consulting services to a wide range of federal government, state government, local municipality, and private sector clients. Our team members average 19 years of experience working on projects in the Kansas City area. They include professional engineers, environmental scientists and certified engineering technicians. Our professional engineers and environmental scientists are certified in most Midwest states. Our certified engineering technicians are certified by ACI, NICET, ICC, AWS, KDOT, MoDOT, and other agencies. Engineering services are performed using ASTM, ASSHTO and other applicable specifications and guidelines. Additionally, our laboratory is accredited by AASHTO and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
