About KAREfarm

KAREfarm is a 501-c3 nonprofit dedicated to offering grief support for those experiencing loss. At our no-cost respite weekends at the farm, guests stay in fully furnished "glamping" tents, enjoy time around the campfire, hike the trails at WhiteTail Ridge Farm and connect with those who are walking a similar journey. Our retreats are led by volunteers and co-founders who have experienced loss and wish to share hope and healing with others. Co-founders Stephanie and Christa had a chance meeting one Christmas Eve at the cemetary - discovering they had both lost their young daughters unexpectedly - and now shared a resting place nearby. Out of this connection, "KARE" (Katie and Avery's Retreat Experience) "farm" was formed and takes place on a beautiful property in Brooksville, KY which has served Stephanie, Mike and their family for many years. Our team is composed of volunteers passionate about serving others in our unique way. We are always looking for new connections, guests, sponsors/donors, and volunteers for events. Volunteer opportunities include events like retreats and fundraisers, farm upkeep and maintenance, and team support specifically in finance, digital marketing, strategy, design, non-profit and fundraising. It is our privilege to serve the community of Greater Cincinnati and beyond. We are blessed with guests, volunteers and donors from across the country.
