KARPLEN Consultants is a privately owned independent consulting firm. It emerged from the first Architects Partnership of Abdel Wahab & Abboud, established in 1967 by two of the pioneers in Private Architectural Practice, Architect Abdel Wahab Abdel Rahman Salih and Architect Ahmed Abboud El Sherif. The firm developed into a team of highly qualified professionals and in 1973 expanded considerably and registered itself under the name of Architects Group ‘AG’. In 1977 the firm was even more extended to incorporate Makki Consulting Engineers, established by the Civil Structural Engineer Mohamed Makki Ahmed Makki, to form KARPLEN Consultants as the first multidisciplinary Sudanese firm. In 1981 the firm was joined by Awadel Karim Mohamed Ahmed, one of the leading Urban Planners in Sudan. Through this steady development over the last 38 years the firm became well established and is now combining the capabilities of highly qualified and experienced Architects, Planners and Engineers, who devote their full professional time to satisfy the needs of our Clients
