Kastamonu, one of the two largest groups of Hayat Holding operating on a global scale, was founded in 1969 in Istanbul to manufacture wood-based panels. Our company, which has 100% domestic capital, started production in 1971 at our first plant, Kastamonu Chipboard Factory. We are currently producing in 6 locations domestically: Kastamonu, Gebze, Balikesir, Samsun, Tarsus and Adana. We have production facilities in 6 countries, including Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia and Italy. In the US, we have a company in which we manage the procurement and logistics processes of wood chip. We employ approximately 6,300 people in our domestic and international production facilities and offices. Our facilities have a total production capacity of 5.5 million m³ / year, including 2.4 million m³ / year MDF, 3.1 million m³ / year chipboard, 70 million m² / year laminate flooring. These figures make us the seventh largest producer in the world and the fourth largest in Europe. In MDF, chipboard, laminate flooring, and door panel products based scale, we are one of the forth biggest producers in the world we are located. In Turkey, we have about 30% market share.
