About Katherine Outback Experience

We seek to be one of the Northern Territory's highest rated tourist attractions by showcasing life on Australian cattle stations through real horse-starting and working dog demonstrations, live music and story telling. We operate an outback show that is raw and real. Live in front of our guests, we show how we start a young horse by building trust. We also show how we train our working dogs to muster cattle for life on cattle stations. We enjoy sharing our knowledge as well as our experiences from living and working on the land. No show is complete without live music performed by two-time Golden Guitar winner Tom Curtain, often from the saddle, and at speed. We operate anywhere from six to twelve shows a week at our property just 6 kilometres from the centre of Katherine from April to the end of October. We work with tour groups including Great Southern Rail's The Ghan Train and AAT Kings, Business Events, School Groups and Independent Travellers, providing innovative solutions to their needs. In addition to the core service of our outback show, we also offer: - Pre and post event entertainment - Live music - Keynote/ Guest Speaking - Team Building - Conflict resolution - Venue Hire for functions, long table dinners, cabarets, banquets etc - Group camping under the stars - School excursions and visits - Horsemanship Training The beauty of our show is we can recreate it at any location, allowing us to travel to our guests anywhere in Australia. During the Top End's low tourist season summer months, we tour. In 2018/19 we will be touring regional and rural QLD, NSW and Victoria as part of our 'Speak Up Tour'. We hope to visit a number of schools in February and March 2019 to spread the anti-bullying message and share a bit of our life in the outback.
