About KathKath Studio

KathKath studios is the collaboration between textile designer Kathy Schicker and graphic designer Kathryn Pledger. Kathy and Kathryn worked and exhibited around the world, before bonding over a love of surface, pattern, colour and design. Pooling their respective talents they have created KathKath Studios. The studio brings 15 years experience in the textiles and graphic industries. KathKath’s main areas of expertise are digitally printed products and designing and producing collections of unusual and trendsetting prints for fashion, interiors and lifestyle products. They also design for industry and bespoke projects, alongside their current collections. KathKath studio launched their high-end silk scarf and accessories collections in late 2013. In 2014 KathKath’s ‘Honeycomb’ wallpaper was launched as part of Graham and Browns ‘New Wave’ collective. The collective was curated by design journalist and passionate supporter of emerging talent, Barbara Chandler. The collective consists of thirteen of Britain’s best up-and-coming surface pattern designers. 2014 also saw KathKath open online shops at Wolf and Badger, Boticca and Not on The High Street and have scarves stocked at the Fashion and Textile Museum shop as well as licensing their designs to Keka and Artscase for device cases, Kess Inhouse for homeware and Mesop for fashion. They have designed bespoke products for the FTM and signed with renown print agent Hunt+Gather.
