Katrin Rohde Foundation USA Inc. is duly incorporated in the State of New York State since 2011 and has a tax exemption from the State of New York as well as from the IRS, i.e. a 501 (c) 3 declaration. KRF has the purpose to support AMPO, an orphanage based in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Established by the German Katrin Rohde 20 years ago, AMPO provides shelter, food, medical care, education and other services for people in need. KFR intends to approach potential donors in the USA as well as experts in the areas of medicine, nutrition, hygiene, agriculture and other fields to spend time at / give best practice advise to AMPO in Burkina Faso. • Donations made by US tax payers to AMPO through KRF will be managed efficiently to support the orphanages and other institutions at AMPO and will show a high social and economic return. • US experts who provide practical help at AMPO will have the unique opportunity to gain valuable professional and personal experiences in the vibrant environment of Burkina Faso. • Tax-exempt donations and the secondment of experts can be considered as a tantamount to or as an addition to direct US foreign aid.
