Kauffman's Animal Health, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Leon J. Kauffman as a small family oriented business with the intent to manufacture, package, and market a line of nutritional supplements and premixes aimed at feed manufacturers and feed dealers. The original product line contained premixes and supplements for poultry, livestock, and horses. Having the strongest ties with the race horse industry, the equine line of products grew more rapidly than the other lines. All of our products are manufactured in our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility using the highest amount of balanced quality ingredients guaranteeing premium products. Before long, our horse supplements had gained high acceptance throughout racing circles in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Kentucky. By the early 1980s, our KA-HI Horse Supplement was being shipped as far as Florida and Japan. A natural extension of our business developed in the private label sector. Many sales oriented companies began to contact us as a quality manufacturer for their own lines of supplements and premixes. Our steady and sustained growth has continued throughout our 30 years of existence. With 30 years of dedicated service to the feed industry, our company looks to promising future growth. Our attention to detail, quality, and cost-control have positioned us to take advantage of opportunities in the private label sector of the feed industry as well as promotion of our own brands. Recent and planned acquisitions will increase our market presence and name recognition throughout the United States and across the world. Our facility is certified in the American Feed Industry Association’s Safe Feed/Safe Food Certification Program.
