Established in 1946 KBJ Architects has emerged as one of the regions leading full service architectural and interior design firms. In its more than six decades of practice, and with consistently experienced design teams, KBJ has virtually sculpted the downtown skyline of Jacksonville and the landscape of north and central Florida. Our Portfolio includes high rise and suburban offices, hospitality facilities; educational facilities, religious institutions, airports, industrial facilities, museums and exhibition space, theaters, parking structures, health care clinics, and a broad range of master planning, urban design and restoration. To maintain such a diverse practice, KBJ has excelled at working with specialist in many different types of fields. We team with the best design architects and consultants when the nature of the project type requires such special skills. We employ the service of quality engineers for the technical aspects of each project. In the implementation phase, KBJ considers the construction teams as partners, with the common goal of delivering a successful project to the owners. Since our organization in 1946, (then known as Kemp, Bunch and Jackson), a significant characteristic of our firm has been a commitment to the objectives of our clients combined with strong project management. KBJ's office is organized in teams, each headed by working principals, handling projects from the inception to completion. Team members follow a project through all phases which allows a singular design intent to develop throughout the process.
