About KCCSF - Korean Cultural Center of San Francisco

The Korean Cultural Center of San Francisco (KCCSF), a community based non- profit organization, was founded in 2006 to foster the understanding and appreciation of Korean and Korean American art, history, and culture in the United States. The mission of the Korean Cultural Center of San Francisco is to preserve, promote, and influence the course of Korean and Korean American culture. The Center offers a variety of educational and cultural programs. These programs range from lectures, workshop, and classes to art exhibitions, dance and musical performances, and cultural exchanges—all of which enable members of the Korean American community and the general public alike to gain a deeper knowledge of historical as well as contemporary Korean and Korean American culture. The activities of the Center focus on performing arts and art exhibitions, which are presented on a continuous, year-round basis organized by the Center and others on loan from other museums or cultural institutions and are featuring innovative, collaborative performances and projects by world-class artists from Korea. By sponsoring certain events in conjunction with various cultural organizations and community groups in the San Francisco Bay Area, it stimulates cooperation and expands resources and offerings among the many local groups interested in Korean and Korean American history and culture providing insights into the rich cultural heritage of Korea which history spanning more than 5,000 years.
