About Keep Music Alive

Keep Music Alive is a 501(c)(3) arts Non-Profit organization with a mission to help more kids (and adults) reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music. To help with this mission, we founded the annual International Teach Music Week (3rd week in March) and Kids Music Day (1st Friday in October). Each year, we partner with over 1,000 music schools, stores and organizations around the world to offer free lessons to new students to hold celebratory events including open houses, instrument petting zoo's, community/family jams, student music performances, instrument donation drives, free introductory lessons and more.
