About Keep Wakulla County Beautiful
KWCB is a private non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to reduce litter, promote recycling, and to beautify Wakulla County. Our largest cleanup event is Coastal Cleanup, which occurs on the third Saturday of September each year. During a single day, we gather over a thousand hardworking volunteers to clean over 35 miles of coastal wetlands and low lying areas removing several tons of trash and debris. Each year Coastal Cleanup grows to include more volunteers which enables us to clean even more of our local coastline. In 2010 Keep Wakulla County Beautiful partnered with the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge to include even more environmentally sensitive land in our yearly cleanup.
