Kelcol Bed Company was formed in 1979 by David Kelly and his family on the principles of excellence and bespoke design. Using the highest quality materials, many of which are sourced locally in West Yorkshire, which has a long and robust textile and bed manufacturing tradition. Our trademarked brands Sleepwell™ and To Catch a Dream™ are well established in the UK bedding industry. For the past four decades, the Kelcol name has been well-known and respected in the business supplying direct to trade retailers. It has evolved into the successful firm it is now thanks to David and his loyal employees. Kelcol’s products, which are designed and manufactured in their Mirfield manufacturing mill, have been built on the strong relationship formed with its distribution, delivery, and sales networks, with direct feedback from customers allowing them to improve the products and service. The purchase of the business by The Wheeler and Barker Family in 2021 has given the company the ability to expand with a fresh new outlook and a new drive to take the business forward – the Barker Family have known David and worked within the business for many years, and will continue to carry forward the well-known brand. Thank you to all of our clients, retailers and distributors for their continued support over the last 40 years as we continue to grow and develop the business and products. The Kelcol brand will always be associated with quality and craftsmanship, while remaining responsive to and respectful of its heritage and tradition.
