The company KERN & SOHN GmbH was established in 1844 and therefore is the oldest Manufacturer of precision balances in Germany. But KERN does not only stand for precise weighing but also for precise optical instruments. So we can offer you a complete, carefully-designed range of compound microscopes, metallurgical microscopes, polarizing microscopes, stereomicroscopes, microscope cameras, analogue refractometers, digital refractometers, Abbe refractometers as well as a comprehensive range of accessories. Another KERN strengths lies in the production of precision test weights in all OIML tolerance classes (E1-M3) – important tools for checking your measuring instruments within the scope of quality assurance provisions in accordance with ISO 9001ff. We do belong to a small number of companies in Germany in possession of an accreditationas as a DAkkS calibration laboratory for balances and weights (D-K-19408-01-00), granted by the DKD.
