In 2012, Kern Technologies emerged as an independent entity from Kern Laser Systems Research and Development division, following years of dedicated CO2 laser development. A separate facility was established in 2013, adjacent to Kern Laser Systems, exclusively for laser development. The objective of this new company was to develop and supply CO2 lasers across all power levels and wavelengths which Kern Laser Systems could seamlessly integrate into their laser cutting and engraving machines. This milestone was reached in 2020, as the Kern CO2 laser product portfolio expanded. Presently, Kern Technologies operates from a cutting-edge 17,000 square foot manufacturing facility, employing 20 full-time staff and utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The facility includes a 2,300 square foot ISO 8 cleanroom with ISO 5 flow benches for laser assembly. Upholding Kern's vision, the company consistently researches, develops, and manufactures its own line of CO2 lasers. The commitment is to deliver robust and reliable, U.S.-made CO2 lasers, extending the advantages of these lasers to the wider market. Each laser from Kern Technologies is accompanied by our unparalleled service and warranty, symbolizing a dedication to excellence and pride in American craftsmanship. Currently owned and operated by the first and second generations of the Kern family, the company's future objective is to advance CO2 laser technology.
