About Kerri's Fight

Kerri's Fight is a nonprofit organization dedicated to easing the financial burden of the breast cancer fight for single mothers. Annually, we distribute a number of grants to applicants who are in desperate need of the support we offer. During any cancer battle, the main priority should be healing. This is why we encourage our grant recipients to use the money for respite rather than bills or debts caused by the illness. We understand this to be an unorthodox approach, which is why it makes so much sense for us to run things this way! With a saturated market of charities paying off the insurance and pharmaceutical companies, we make the individual fighter our priority. Every year in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kerri's Fight helps provide an average of 5 families with holiday help in the form of a check. Of course, if the priority is housing or heat, there are no restrictions as to what the money can be used for. However, it is our intention that this money be an opportunity for a night out with the family, holiday gifts for the kids, or spontaneous trips to see loved ones. Peace of mind is one of the most powerful medicines, and it is our vision to see that peace in the eyes of every woman and child we assist. For many of these families, each other is all they have. When they join Kerri's Fight, they are joining our family, forever.
