With studio/offices located in Olympia, KGY Media Group operates three Local Radio Brands including: 96.9 KAYO-Country (Regional/7-County Coverage Area), Olympia's 95.3 KGY (Local/Thurston County Coverage Area), and KAYO Legends on 96.9 HD3. KGY was founded by Father Sebastian Ruth of St. Martin's (College) University and officially licensed in 1922. In 1939, Olympia native Tom Olsen purchased KGY, and his family continues to own & operate the station today. In 2021, KGY Radio re-branded to KGY Media Group, expanding our slate of advertising products by offering Digital Advertising including: Targeted Display & Video, Geo-Targeted Display & Video, OTT/CTV, email blasts, social media, and station websites as well.
