Kidfunder is crowdfunding focused on children. The purpose of Kidfunder is to raise money for kids dreams so they will succeed. Kidfunder is a crowdfunding platform with the goal of leveling the playing field for all children by using the power of the crowd to ensure that every child, no matter their family’s economic status, will have access to the resources and funds needed to reach their full potential. Kidfunder fulfills a pressing need in our society- helping all children achieve their dreams The truth is excellent programs for kids come at a premium price, making them out of reach for many families. Families members recognize the potential in a child- perhaps an inclination for the arts, a musical ear, a scientific mind, an athletic ability, etc.- but they often do not have the means to give the child access to the equipment or programs that would help them develop that area of talent or gifting. In the past such families had to fiercely compete with others in similar situations for scarce and competitive grants or scholarships, and many had to let their child’s potential wither due to lack of funds. This no longer needs to be the reality. Kidfunder will allow users to “utilize the power of the crowd so that every kid stands out.” It has been said it takes a village to raise a child. Here at Kidfunder we believe in using a village to fund a child. Kidfunder- using the power of the crowd so that every kid stands out.
