KidneyIntel was founded in 2024 by Terrie Holewinski, MS RDN. Terrie is a renal dietitian specializing in kidney disease and is passionate about patient empowerment and nutrition education. For more than 15 years, Terrie has worked with patients in dialysis centers and outpatient chronic kidney disease (CKD) clinics, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by patients in accessing accurate nutritional information. This experience ignited a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of kidney disease patients by providing them with reliable resources to enhance their understanding about their kidney disease and make informed food choices. Terrie created Kidney Essentials class, an evidence-based kidney nutrition program designed to slow down the progress of kidney disease.
