Kidpreneurs started as a book written by brothers and entrepreneurs Adam and Matthew Toren in 2008. Matthew’s daughter was just 9 years old when she asked her dad: “What do you and Uncle Adam do as small business owners and entrepreneurs?” The brothers, life-long business partners, tried to find a book or a program that spoke to kids in bite-size nuggets, but there was nothing available. "Kidpreneurs: Young Entrepreneurs with Big Ideas" launched on Amazon and was quickly featured in the Wall Street Journal as one of the best books for kids to learn about entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Since then, over 250,000 children around the world have learned entrepreneurship and financial literacy through the book's engaging lessons and kid-friendly visuals. But the brothers received thousands of messages from parents asking for even more in-depth ways to teach their kids critical skills like money management and negotiation. In 2015, they launched the Kidpreneurs Academy online course, taken by over 150,000 students around the world. During the onset of COVID-19, even more parents began using the Academy to keep their children engaged in educational activities. In response, the brothers created a new, gamified online platform that used avatars, games, and in-game currency to keep kids engaged in online courses about entrepreneurship, money management, social media marketing, and more. The Gamified Kidpreneurs Academy remains a favorite of parents today, with thousands of kids using the platform each month. Kidpreneurs has also launched new books, like 'Real World Money Lessons', and even has an educator program that helps parents and entrepreneurs launch their own local entrepreneurship centers. The brothers are confident that these innovations will help them achieve their biggest goal: impacting 1,000,000 children with the joy of entrepreneurship.
