About Kids In Philanthropy

Founded in 2012, Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) empowers the next generation of Australians to be philanthropists; giving their time, talent, ties and treasure to help people in need. Here at KiP, we believe that people of any age can help others – they just need the opportunity. In collaboration with our charity partners, KiP create bespoke volunteering programs for school aged children and their families to meet the needs of disadvantaged young people around Australia. Our volunteers assist young people experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, disadvantage and disability. KiP partners with schools, youth groups and parent groups to mobilises children, parents and families across generations, to directly make a difference by working alongside charities who provide benevolent relief to those in need and make the world a better place. The beauty of our programs is that as well as helping others, the participants in KiP sessions build social awareness, develop leadership skills and empathy, and strengthen their mental wellbeing. Since inception, KiP has developed strong partnerships with over 20 local charities. It is through these relationships that KiP has been able to provide relief to thousands of young Australians in need. KiP has empowered over 9,000 young people to donate their time, talent and treasure in our programs. These donations have supported over 95,000 youth in need and their families. We are working towards a vision of a more empathetic, compassionate and connected world where young people are equipped to make a difference and communities are actively supporting those in need.
