About Kids' Turn San Diego
With a mission of “promoting, supporting and securing the well-being of children who are experiencing family separation”, Kids' Turn San Diego changes family relationships in positive ways so children have happier childhoods and brighter futures. Programs include: Family Workshops for Separated & Divorced Families Counseling for Children Continue the Conversation Advanced Refresher Classes for Parents and Step-Parents Our programs bring peace to children and their families who are experiencing separation, divorce & military transitions. Parents learn to understand the emotions & behaviors of their children from a developmental perspective & realize that healthy parent-child bonds are an essential component to future decisions & relationships. Children "find their voice" and are able to talk about their thoughts & feelings. We are increasing self-esteem & building positive relationships between children & parents, which promotes academic success, positive peer relationships, & these children are less likely to experience mental health issues, use drugs/alcohol or engage in socially unacceptable behaviors.
