About KIMIA
Since 1979 Kimia has been producing high quality materials to conserve and safeguard the historical and modern building heritage, both civil and infrastructural. Our solutions are the result of applications and experiences born and consolidated in Umbria and central Italy, an area where the beauty of the architectural heritage is threatened by disastrous seismic phenomena. This led us to develop first of all ad hoc materials and technologies to face the problem and to spread them everywhere. We were the first Italian company to introduce composite materials for structural consolidation in the 1980s, and today we boast the most complete range of CVT and ETA certified reinforcement systems in Italy. Our product range includes lime and pure lime mortars, cement mortars, resins for structural and non-structural interventions, composite systems, waterproofing, dehumidifying, chemical solutions for the treatment of stone surfaces, tile adhesives and materials for industrial flooring and decorative coatings. Our experience has led us to contribute to the protection of assets of enormous importance: Trevi Fountain, Royal Palace of Caserta, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Procuratie Vecchie in Piazza San Marco in Venice, Cathedral of Pisa, Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi, San Siro Stadium, Milan Central Station, Viaduct Italia, Michelangelo's Pietà Rondanini, Valencia Oceanographic Museum, Al-Hadba Minaret in Mosul.
