About Kind to Kids Foundation
kindtokids.org Kind to Kids Foundation is a nonprofit charity organization that provides education programs and support for children in foster care and poverty. Every child deserves a bright future! Our innovative UGrad education program for youth in foster care drastically improves high school graduation rates and success in life. LifeSkills, an evidenced based, educational program gives children who are victims of child abuse and poverty the socio-emotional and practical skills needed to overcome the trauma they have endured. Kind to Kids also provides support services to help children facing trauma with My Blue Duffel emergency care kits. Over 800 My Blue Duffels are distributed annually to children in foster care, hospital emergency rooms, police, fire, FBI, and homeless liaisons throughout the state. Kind to Kids also provides toys to foster children during the holidays and birthdays, and supplies to children entering foster care. Our Give Joy program delivers hundreds of life opportunities to sporting, cultural and academic events annually that children in need could not normally attend. Kind to Kids delivers these wrap around services to help ease the trauma for children who are victims of abuse and neglect. Since the Jones Family founded the organization in 2008, the Foundation has served over 16,000 children with education programs and support services. In DE, there are over 550 children in foster care, and over 60,000 children in poverty. Foster children are removed from their homes & placed in a foster care setting. They struggle to adjust to the painful changes in their lives. For impoverished children, Kind to Kids realizes that poverty is much more than a lack of wealth - it is also a lack of experiences. Kind to Kids provides experiences that enrich children's lives & broaden their horizons to the world around them.
