About KinderSun
KinderSun is a community outreach and solar training not-for-profit focused on educating multi-generational communities stimulating knowledge, understanding and innovation through community workshops and hands on training. We partner with community organizers, universities and businesses to support their community’s outreach objectives. Jeff Doretti, Executive Director developed KinderSun in 2015 to support community outreach goals. Standard Sun is a proud contributor to KinderSun's mission. Kirk Vazal, CEO of Standard Sun, notes, “I saw a need to bring comprehensive training to community stakeholders invested in our projects. I'm in full support of comprehensive training to community stakeholders and building the skill set of laborers With comprehensive training, we strive to shorten the operational timeline and educate community members.” KinderSun grew out of a training and outreach technique spirited by Standard Sun’s protocol and other industry trailblazers. KinderSun will manage all community training, allowing the solar partners to focus on operations. KinderSun’s infrastructure is based on more than five decades of training with its German predecessor. Since 2012, we began operating across North America we fine tuned our training on a wide variety of projects – from swamps, former forests, military installations, Superfund sites, decommissioned airports and through some of the most challenging weather conditions – minus 47 degree C, 3-4 feet of snow, 6-8 feet of frost, spring thaws and flooded sites. Each project offered a layer of training that strengthened our product. Please visit our website to support our education outreach efforts. We also accept in-kind donations from our partners materials to assist with our training. We will promote your company’s materials that assist us with training.
