Kinetic Buildings simplifies the process of saving energy and reducing operational costs in commercial buildings by deploying software that automatically identifies inefficient and faulty operation of the building systems. This software utilizes proprietary machine learning algorithms to automate and reduce the cost and hassle presently associated with ensuring efficient operation of building systems. Commercial buildings represent nearly one-fifth of all energy consumption in developed countries, of which over 40% is estimated to be spent on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). Faulty operation of these systems is conservatively estimated to account for 25%-30% of total HVAC energy that is entirely avoidable with the implementation of effective building diagnostic tools. While these data are widely accepted by the industry, building diagnostics tools have not been widely adopted due primarily to the high upfront costs and inconsistent accuracy of many existing solutions.
