*Voted Finalist 2015 Ontario Tourism Event of the Year! *Volunteer run - 0 employees -250 plus amazing volunteers* The annual Kingsville Folk Music Festival, is held the 2nd weekend of August at Lakeside Park in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. The 3 day, ticketed, outdoor festival is a celebration of all styles of folk music, boasting 3 daytime session stages, children's stage and evening Main stage. More than 100 performances, featuring 30 plus award winning and up and coming performers, artisan and food vendors, area wine and craft beer. The 2017 festival August 11 - 13, will feature Cowboy Junkies, Sylvia Tyson, Jimmy Rankin, Harry Manx, Madison Violet and more. Attendees, volunteers and performers come from as far away as Texas, the Florida Keys, Alberta, British Columbia and more. The festival has something for everyone, is rain or shine and accessible! Weekend/Senior/Student/Single Day passes. Children 16 and under FREE, 12 and under must be accompanied by parent. Information, tickets and accommodation packages please visit www.kingsvillefolkfest.org The Sun Parlour Folk Music Society is a not-for-profit Corporation run by a volunteer group bringing the best in live acoustic music to the region. The Society is dedicated to promoting folk music in the region through the concert series and annual folk festival. A portion of the proceeds from the Festival are designated for The MAY FUNd (Music and Arts for Youth) a project developed by the Society that provides financial assistance to area youth to access the arts through workshops, lessons, mentoring sessions and an annual scholarship. The Sun Parlour Folk Music Society is proud to produce projects including the Kingsville Folk Music Festival, Road to FolkFest Concert Series and the MAY FUNd.
