Das internationale katholische Hilfswerk KIRCHE IN NOT, ein Werk päpstlichen Rechts (seit Herbst 2011: Stiftung päpstlichen Rechts), wurde 1947 gegründet. Heute hilft das Werk in mehr als 140 Ländern, in denen die Kirche verfolgt wird oder nicht genügend Mittel für ihre seelsorglichen Aufgaben hat.
